The license cost of $995 is a onetime fee and comes with free technical bug support for life and initial installation. For any programming work not related to bug support our rate is $125/hour.

Q: How much does it cost to upgrade to the latest version of rwAuction Pro?
A: All of our licensed customers can request a download of the latest version of the purchased product free of charge. This does not include re-installation or custom programming.
Q: Is installation free if I use a third party web host provider?
A: Yes, the initial installation is free on any compatible web server.
Q: What is your refund policy?
A: RainWorx Software reserves the final decision on all refund requests. Custom programming fees are not refundable.
Q: Can I have a third party developer make changes to the software?
A: Yes, the license you purchase entitles you or a hired developer to make any necessary changes to the ASP code. A separate developer license is also available if full COM DLL source is required.
Q: Do I need to purchase a separate license if i want to have rwAuction Pro used on more than one website?
A: Yes, each license is good for only a single installation. (Note: Additional licenses are available at a discounted rate. Please
contact us for more details.)
Q: What kind of technical support can I expect?
A: We offer free technical bug support for the life of your website. Our hours are Mon - Fri, 10am - 6pm (US Eastern Time). We also answer support requests outside of these hours.
Q: Will rwAuction Pro work in my country?
A: Yes, all currencies and date formats are supported. You can change all of the static website text by using the language translation section in the admin control panel or by editing a single language file.
Q: What email components are supported?
A: rwAuction Pro supports the following email components: CDONTS, CDOSYS, Persits ASPEmail, ServerObjects ASPMail, w3 Jmail.
Q: Emails are not being sent from my website, or customers are not receiving sent email. How do I fix this?
A: In some cases, spam filters can trap emails before they reach the recipient. If this is not the case, check what email components are installed on your server and set the software email options accordingly. If you are hosted with us this should already be setup correctly.
If the SMTP server is different than the web server, make sure that the proper relay permissions are set on the SMTP server.
If you are using CDONTS as your email component:
- Set full control permissions on the inetpub\mailroot directories for the IUSR account.
- Set the IUSR account as an operator under IIS->SMTP settings
- Make sure that your email component has read & execute permissions for the IUSR account.
Q: Do I need any programming knowledge to work with rwAuction Pro?
A: After the installation you will have a website similar to our online demo. You can make many changes in the admin control panel. For any serious design or layout changes you will need a working knowledge of editing ASP/HTML code directly.
Q: Do I need a separate component for uploading images?
A: All image uploading and thumbnail resizing functions are built into the software.
Q: What payment services and gateway processors are supported?
A: rwAuction Pro supports the following payment processors: PayPal, WorldPay, Authorize.Net, SecPay, CyberSource, SkipJack, LinkPoint / YourPay.
Q: What parts of the software can I change?
A: All of the design, layout, and some functionality are accessible through the ASP files. However, it will require some working knowledge of editing ASP/HTML code directly to make any changes. The remaining auction logic resides in compiled COM DLLs. Source code for the COM DLLs is available through a separate developer license.
Q: Can I edit the ASP/HTML code with MS FrontPage?
A: FrontPage tends to change (and break) code without any prompting. The problem seems to occur when you switch back and forth between HTML and Normal mode so one key to successful ASP editing is to stay in HTML mode. We do not recommend using FrontPage due to this fact and bugs created this way are not covered under our free technical support.
Q: I am getting an error anytime I upload an image larger than 200k, why is this?
A: The standard IIS6 installation limits the allowed file size that can be uploaded. To fix this you will need to ask your server administrator to edit the IIS metabase.xml configuration file. Search for the variable AspMaxRequestEntityAllowed and set this value to a higher amount.
Q: What do you need from me to install the software on my web server?
A: Please send us the following hosting connection information for the installation: Website Domain or IP Address, FTP login, FrontPage extensions login (if applicable), SQL Server connection (if applicable), Remote Desktop (if applicable).
If direct access to the server is not available we will help you send the necessary steps to your server administrator.
